The Des Moines International Airport is the only Port of Entry located in Iowa. As a Port of Entry, Des Moines International Airport has on-site U.S. Customs. A new customs facility has recently been completed for the convenience of shippers and travelers.

Highways

Indianola is at the crossroads of two highways. Hwy. 65/69, a four-lane highway, connects Indianola to the Des Moines Metropolitan area and the Highway 5 beltway linking Interstates 35 and 80. Hwy. 92 is a two-lane highway through the community that also connects the city to Interstate 35.
